Membership

Membership tiers

Membership funds the Foundation's work and gives members access to specifications, research and working groups. It never buys influence over standards or governance.

Membership Programme

Sustaining open standards

The Fabric Payment Standards Foundation is an independent, non-profit body. Membership fees let it operate without depending on any single sponsor, keep its governance neutral, and sustain the working groups that produce and refine specifications.

Each tier defines its benefits: specification access, research collaboration, working group participation. Board, council and editorial roles are appointment-based, open to organisations of every size, and never tied to a membership fee.

Applications, upgrades and payments are handled in the Members Portal. Start with a free account; Academic / NGO and Community applications are approved automatically.
